I don’t like surprises.
I don’t like to NOT be in control.
This is probably the reason why the only time I have muttered the words “I’m pregnant” in the last 14 weeks was to my husband on my cell phone while sitting on an ER gurney to get my thumb x-rayed, at least I think that’s how it went… I may still be suffering from a slight case of post traumatic stress disorder.
I still don’t feel like I’m in control of this. I am still in shock. I’m still trying to prepare myself for this next journey.
So, when people ask if I’m going to find out if it’s a boy or a girl…
Me? Control freak? Not find out the sex of a baby? It’s laughable, really. Hell YES, I’m going to find out! I’ve had enough surprises.
And I’m not a fan of yellow and green. Or referring to a baby as an “it” or some goofy gender neutral nickname like “noodle” or “pickle”.
I will find out on June 1 whether I will have baby balls to contend with or more estrogen and drama. But that’s just a formality. I know what I’m having and it’s fairly scientific.
I was not sick with my boy pregnancy at all and I was as sick as a dog with my girls- from DAY ONE!
This time, I had NO idea I was pregnant until the ER doctor informed me in my 6th week- NO SICKNESS, whatsoever (boy)… until 2 weeks later. Now, food repulses me- I cannot watch Food Network without really testing my gag reflex. Everyone around me is suddenly wearing too much fragrant lotions and perfumes, or smells like bacon(girl).
So, I think it’s obvious. Hermaphrodite.

Congrats to you! Good luck for an easy, uneventful pregnancy!
OMG! You’re hilarious! I never had morning sickness with my 2 boys but I was really sensitive to smells. I never had a girl to compare pregnancies. Hope all goes well!!
I’m so stoked for you, lady… yay!!
And I hear you on NEEDING to know the sex in advance. I mean, please. NECESSARY!! Oy.
Mebbe its twins… {mwah-ha-ha-ha-ha!}
LOL…you are so funny…..i was gonna say twins as well…but didnt want you to break up with me…CONGRATS TENA!
I have had an ultrasound and it is only 1!
You’re doing the right thing. The world needs more hermaphrodites.
Oh my word, you’re hilarious.
Two boys here, barely sick. However, almost everyone I know who has a “blessing in disguise” baby, have girls.
So yeah, I’m thinking you’re on the correct track with hermaphrodite.
Oh my! I can’t wait to hear which way this is going to go! Good luck!
I am so glad you came to this conclusion scientifically! So, I like the name Pat
I had to laugh when I read your post. I was sick for the whole pregnancy with my girls. With my boys I wasn’t sick more then a couple times. It’s miserable. I hope your feeling better soon
I was the same way with my pregnancies- especially my first that was a total SURPRISE (and not in a yay! we’re having a baby kinda way) lol
I said the same thng-Im done with surprises. I need to know — boy or girl!
I cant wait to hear the big announcement next month… maybe theres 2… JUST KIDDING! (I know .. thats not funny. .. Ill go away now.) ((Hugs))
oh my word… this is EXACTLY what we need around here. i am so in love with you and can’t wait to point and laugh for the next few years!!! actually, i am so excited for you… as much of a surprise this is, you are going to be one awesome baby mama.
