Thursday morning, 5:50 AM. The phone rings. It’s an automated message from my daughter’s preschool telling me that school is cancelled due to snow. She only goes to school on Monday, Wednesday and Friday! Next time you make that mistake- make sure it’s NOT when I’m having one of my happy dreams with Zach Braff!
So, it’s a snow day. Me and 4 kids- confined- with me on a diet- this should be fun. I have plenty of Xanax in case of emergency and I’m not afraid to use it. They have zero calories!
The literary genius will be in short supply today. Shut up.

ah, the xanax diet. i was thinking about going in the other direction and trying the methamphetamine diet. xanax just makes me sleepy and i can’t afford to lie around, depressed and lazy anymore than i already am.
i did pretty well yesterday. hummus and wheat pita for lunch, carrots and 1/2 an apple pie for dinner. oh well, there’s still hope for today.

2 snow days in a row for me…but I just have the one tot, so I won’t complain. Looks like tomorrow might be one for us too! Good luck…nothing wrong with putting a little something in your cup of hot chocolate while you are playing your 15th go round of candlyland or yahtzi…right?
