I think I should be worried.
After my daughter’s first week of preschool, her preschool teacher’s only words to me were, “Bobby and your daughter have fast become fond of each other.”
I smiled, dismissively, thinking, that’s great, she’s making friends.
She then paused and gave me that not so fast, lady, your daughter’s a whore look and said “they were quite handsy with each other today on the playground.”
I wondered if that was some kind of warning to have a talk with her about appropriate touching and birth control or just an observation of her being a friendly 4 year old?
The next week was a field trip to the apple orchard. I volunteered to drive and was told I would have a car full of kids and another adult. Much to my surprise, I was assigned to be the chaperone/chauffeur to my daughter’s first date- just me, her and Bobby.
From the second we arrived at the orchard, Bobby was all hands! From what I saw, he was a gentleman, but so were the assholes that I dated when my parents were around.
After the afternoon at the orchard, I didn’t know whether to slip a box of condoms in his car seat before I returned it to his mom or if that would be too forward.
I just showed her this picture and warned her that our kind is very fertile.

Handsy! Ha! I had to have the talk with my daughter’s preschool director about her boy craziness. That was fun. She’s in first grade now and says boys are gross. Thank god.
Keep your eye on that kid. My first boyfriend, Micheal, had his mom write me a love note to ask me if I would be his girlfriend, we were 6. We held hands on the playground and we were totally in love, or something. Ahhh, Young love.
LMAO You better watch that Bobby. Kids nowadays can do all kinds of shit in their carseats.
That’s funny! At least you got to supervise the first date LOL
That is the cutest picture! … but Bobby looks like a gentleman to me.
Too freakin’ cute.
That picture is lovely! I much prefer that kind of ‘handsy’ to the news that one of my daughter’s jr. kindergarten friends was sticking his hands down the girls pants during nap time (true story – ugh!)
LMAO Tena YOU complete me!
#2 child went on her first “car date” when she was 4… The little boy who lived behind us drove his battery powered jeep around the block to pick her up for their “date” (his mom walked behind them to chaperone)
Then when she was in the 3rd grade another little boy kissed her during recess and asked her to marry him….
By 6th grade she had boys buying her presents etc… (which she had to return)
It was about that time that her father concocted the 3 ft. rule:(which of course was a joke)
-No holding hands
-No kissing
-No closer than 3 ft. from any boys (except of course daddy)
-No eye contact
At age 4 kids are innocent… sounds like it’s the teacher who has the problem!
Did you tell Bobby your hubby’s a cop!?
Love the picture! It is so sweet.
wowee and i thought girls/boys who started that at 11 or younger were too young hehe. adorable pic :0)
@kootnygirl oy! i agree, this is far more innocent
The picture is adorable, but scary all the same. I think kids are just kids especially at that age. Maybe his parents are very loving. It isn’t showing a bad sign his arm is around her. Sadly now-a-days everything is taken to the next level they are kids. No need for condoms but maybe a bribery picture or two.
tena, that photo is priceless.
